SOLD – Comet Pioneer (“Sprinter”) is a flashy 2013 filly who should mature around 16.1.  She is out of our lovely Comet Shine mare, Comet Swinger, and is by the great eventing stallion (and father of our filly Faerie’s Alibhai) Primmore’s Pioneer.  Primmore’s Pioneer is the full sibling to Primmore’s Pride, the only horse to win all three legs of eventing’s grand slam (Badminton, Burghley, and Rolex) with rider Pippa Funnell.  Born to event, Sprinter hit the ground racing, hence her nickname..  With 3 lovely gaits, a super gallop and an eventing pedigree to love, we look forward to seeing her rise to the top of the sport. Primmore’s Pioneer is approved with the AES studbook and the SHB (GB).  He evented through Advanced before he retired to stud.  His father, Mayhill, evented with Mark Todd and was a reserved entry for the Hague World Games.  His dam, Primmore Hill, was 9th at Badminton in 1982 and was shortlisted for the World Championships.  His damsire, Ben Faerie, is a legendary eventing sire who sired, among others, Ginny Lengs’s partners Priceless and Nightcap. Comet Swinger is a lovely moving ex-racehorse thoroughbred mare who is by Comet Shine, the sire of Becky Holder’s WEG and Olympic Partner, Courageous Comet.
